Old Clock Tower goes down

This is a great shot of the old steeple and clock tower going down. By the way the new building will have a clock in the steeple tower also.

1924 Building Update

The 1924 Building has had much work done by local members. The interior of the building has been removed and the contractors are now reinforcing the walls and the foundation of the old structure.

Building Update

The foundation for the new building is complete and the plumbing and electrical are currently being installed.

New Building Construction

The Kanab Stake Center was demolished in December 2011 to be replaced by a new building. The oldest part of the Stake Center which was built in 1924 was saved and will be rebuilt as a Family History Library and the Stake office suite. The construction is scheduled to be finished in December 2012 and moving date is January 2013. For the time being the wards that met in that building are meeting in the Kanab Kaibab Stake buildings. Kanab 3rd ward meets in the Fredonia Arizona building with their meeting starting at 8:30 AM Utah time.
